I love tennis and so do my two daughters. They started playing because of me, but soon they developed a passion for the game. My older daughter played four years of varsity tennis and my younger one is looking forward to playing in high school next year. I taught them mostly, but I also searched for a good tennis program in the area that covered all aspects of tennis, including physical fitness and mental strength. However, I was disappointed by the lack of such programs. Most tennis programs had coaches to just feed the ball and did not care about the completeness of the players. They did not teach tennis etiquette, movement, or mental aspect. So, I decided to start my own tennis academy where I could bring together coaches with various strengths, because such programs were only accessible to the wealthy. This way, our students can learn a variety of tennis skills and techniques, improve their physical and mental fitness for tennis and life, and become well-rounded tennis players.

I believe sports builds character and it should be an integral part of child development. Tennis especially teaches kids valuable life skills such as problem solving, independence, accountability, how to overcome failures, and resilience.
As one of the best tennis players in the world, Andre Agassi, said: “It’s no accident, I think, that tennis uses the language of life. Advantage, service, fault, break, love, the basic elements of tennis are those of everyday existence, because every match is a life in miniature.”
