Integrated Tennis: Implements both time-honored and modern mind/body techniques that improve performance and quality of life. Integrated tennis is one of the recent training methods that combines western sport psychology with eastern yoga.
Bio: Josh Warren, M.S., founder and developer of Integrated Tennis, offers this unique integration of skills acquired in formal sport psychology graduate studies combined with practical and advanced yoga concepts. He holds a Masters Degree in Exercise Science concentrating in Sport Psychology from Ithaca College and graduated with a 3.94 GPA earning Phi Kappa Phi honors.
Josh is the Head Women's Tennis Coach at Husson University, Bangor, ME. He started the program, bringing university tennis to central Maine in the fall of 2015 and has made the conference semifinals or higher every year. The team holds a 3.7 cumulative GPA. He is passionate about bringing a holistic approach to this life-long sport.
Josh worked at Sankaty Head Golf Club, Nantucket Island, for nine consecutive seasons and was the Head Tennis Professional, directing all aspects of the program in his last three years.
He has experience coaching in a variety of settings including Van Der Meer Tennis Academy, Hilton Head, SC, Ithaca College, Colby College, and Armstrong Tennis Center. Josh also assists Yoga Teacher Trainings and Positional Therapy Teacher Trainings at Kripalu Center for Yoga and Health in the Berkshire Mountains, Stockbridge, MA and leads Integrated Tennis and Neuromuscular Balance sessions in numerous settings throughout the country.
Josh contributed to the "Mental Mechanics" chapter of the popular and essential reference: The Tennis Drill Book 2nd Ed. 2014 Human Kinetics, written by Tina Hoskins-Burney and Lex Carrington. Josh also helped edit Yoga for Pain Relief: A New Aproach to an Ancient Practice by Lee Albert.
Josh works with tennis and non-tennis players alike to help them achieve their wellness and performance goals.
